A small square of celadon-and-cream brocade, with magnolia petals woven in — quiet, and meant for a quiet table.
A small square drink coaster woven from cotton-linen jacquard brocade, in a celadon-and-cream ground patterned with soft magnolia petals. Reversible — the pattern is woven through, so the back side mirrors the front.
The story
Magnolia (玉兰) is the first big flower of the southern Chinese spring — it opens in February before the leaves are out, and it's the flower most often woven into brocade for spring festival. We use it as a coaster because the celadon ground sits well with stoneware and warm wood, and the cream petals read as a quiet neutral rather than a statement.
What makes it special
- 9.7 cm across — fits a standard mug or a small tea cup
- Cotton-linen jacquard — pattern is woven in, not printed
- Reversible — both sides mirror the same pattern
- Celadon and cream with soft magnolia petals

How to use it
The quiet coaster. Layer four on a cream or pale-wood table for a soft, monochromatic story. Pairs with celadon ceramics, white porcelain, and pale linen — anything that lets the petals do the talking.
Care
Spot-clean with a damp cloth. Hand-wash cool if needed; do not bleach. Lay flat to dry — the woven pattern holds its shape, but a wrung-out coaster will curl.
