An arch-shaped silver-tone medallion with an embroidered twin-fish panel, hung with five small bell drops — the bells are the tell.

A statement pendant in silver-tone alloy, shaped like a small arch or shield with a hand-embroidered cotton-linen panel at its center showing paired fish — a folk motif in southern China. Five small bell drops hang from the bottom, so the whole piece gives a soft sound when you walk.

The story

The paired-fish motif (双鱼) is one of the oldest and most common symbols in Chinese folk art — it reads as abundance, as a happy marriage, and as the yin-yang of two things in balance. We carry it in the Miao silver-tone medallion form because the bells make it feel like a piece of costume rather than a single-image pendant.

What makes it special

  • Statement scale — arch medallion sits at the sternum
  • Hand-embroidered twin-fish panel, cotton-linen
  • Five small bell drops — soft sound when you move
  • Silver-tone alloy frame and chain, nickel-free

How to wear it

A piece that earns a comment. Best against a black, cream, or indigo top so the embroidery reads. The bells are quiet — they're a cue in conversation, not a sound that carries across a room.

Care

Wipe the metal with a dry cloth after wearing. The embroidered face is cotton — keep water and perfume off the cloth, and store flat so the panel doesn't crease. If a bell clapper loosens, a small drop of clear nail polish on the thread will hold it.
